A public hearing for Conroe Municipal Management District No. 1 to discuss the proposed tax rate for the 2025 tax year will be held on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. The hearing will take place at Grand Central Park Lake House, 1039 Lake House Drive, Conroe, Texas 77304.

Notice of Public Hearing on Tax Rate – September 24, 2024

The Conroe Municipal Management District No. 1 will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed tax rate for the 2024 tax year. This meeting is an important opportunity for residents to understand the potential impact of the proposed rate on their property taxes.

Analysis of the Proposed Tax Rate

The proposed tax rate for 2024 is $0.87000 per $100 of property value, which remains unchanged from last year’s rate. Although the rate is the same, the average appraised value of a residence homestead has increased slightly from $455,697.00 to $462,409.00.

Consequently, the average taxable value has risen from $395,742.00 to $410,026.00. As a result, the tax on an average residence homestead will increase from $3,442.96 to $3,567.23, an annual increase of $124.27 or 3.61%.

Your individual property tax may change depending on how your property’s value has changed in comparison to other properties within the district. This variance determines the overall distribution of the tax burden.

The CONROE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT NO.1 will hold a public hearing on a proposed tax rate for the tax year 2023 on Monday, September 11,2023 at 10:00 a.m. at The Finding Place, 750 Grand Central Parkway, Conroe, Texas 77304. Your individual taxes may increase at a greater or lesser rate, or even decrease, depending on the tax rate that is adopted and on the change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in taxable value of all other property. The change in the taxable value of your property in relation to the change in the taxable value of all other property determines the distribution of the tax burden among all property owners.
